- Meetings with Lisbon City, the EU, and Dubai officials at the ITS European Congress -

On the 23rd (Tue) of this month, Gangneung Mayor Kim Hong-kyu, currently participating in the ITS European Congress in Lisbon, Portugal, held meetings with officials from the city of Lisbon, the EU, and ERTICO*, plus the Roads & Transport Authority of Dubai, next year’s host country for the World Congress, to support the cause of exchange and cooperation in the ITS sector.

During meetings with each organization, the Mayor introduced Gangneung City as the host city of the 2026 ITS World Congress, emphasized the city's unique ITS model that plays to its strengths as a small/mid-sized city, and requested continued interest and participation in the upcoming World Congress.

Mayor Kim Hong-gyu articulated, “We will strive to enhance awareness of Gangneung City and actively cooperate with various organizations over the period remaining until the World Congress.”

Meanwhile, officials in charge of the ITS World Congress, as well as Mayor Kim Hong-gyu, actively continued with their official engagements in the 2023 ITS European Congress in Lisbon from the 22nd (Mon) to the 24th (Wed).
