Presenting Gangneung's SeaTea Bus: ‘City Bus Fare for Limousine Course’

- Complete transformation with new wraps and enhanced stops; the only thing remaining the same is the beautiful sea view

- The city bus connects all the must-see spots, including the BTS stop, as well as the shooting locations of "Goblin" and "The Glory"

As summer arrives, Gangneung City is preparing to officially roll out the revamped "SeaTea" bus on June 1st. Sporting a distinctive wrap and updated stops for rider convenience, the bus is all set to start its service.

The SeaTea bus, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Gangneung City, presents a captivating tourist experience through which patrons can indulge in the pleasures of a take-out coffee while savoring the encompassing beauty of a sweeping seascape.

Cruising from Anmok Coffee Street to Jumunjin Beach along a picturesque 23-kilometer coastal route, passengers will be enveloped by the charming ambience of Gangneung, where the beauty of the sea and coffee coalesce. Keep in mind that while the total journey time typically averages one hour, this might vary based on traffic conditions.

With 16 daily runs departing every 40 minutes from 8 a.m., the SeaTea bus provides a cost-effective transportation option, mirroring the affordable fares of standard city buses, as it offers convenient round-trip services between Anmok and Jumunjin Beach, catering to both residents and visitors with utmost ease and flexibility.

The bus system has been designed to allow easy transfers between city buses, Masil buses, and the SeaTea bus. To further improve the rider experience, real-time operation information is available via the Gangneung Bus Information System (bis.gn.go.kr).

The route weaves alongside 13 stunning beaches, including Gyeongpo and Jumunjin, and various mystical lakes along the East Sea such as the Gyeongpo and Sunpo lakes. Passengers can also explore tantalizing local attractions such as the Sacheon Mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) Street and Jumunjin Seafood Market, offering a wealth of sights to see and activities to engage in.

Moreover, the SeaTea bus serves as an all-access pass to trending spots including the BTS bus stop and the filming locations of popular TV shows like "Goblin" and "The Glory".
