- Gyeongpo Summer Festival -

​ Gyeongpo Summer Festival is Gangneung’s representative summer festival, held every year at Gyeongpo Beach. This year, it will run for seven days from July 29 to August 4, 2025, offering daily performances by artists from various genres, diverse beach leisure programs, events, and a variety of attractions and entertainment.  

 Daytime programs, in the midst of the sweltering heat, will feature Songrim Summer Market (flea market) and Songrim Healing Zone (rest area) in Songrim. There will also be a water gun battle in front of the stage, a ‘Stage Fighter’ contest to find the strongest person, and the Table Tennis Legend Challenge, celebrating Gangneung’s hosting of the ITTF World Masters Table Tennis Championships Gangneung 2026.    

 One person will emerge as the winner of a dynamic game featuring events such as diving from Gyeongpo’s famous Ori Rock and a pontoon mini-game on a pontoon bridge over the sea.  

 For those looking to enjoy Gyeongpo Beach even more intensely, BEACH FIT offers a competitive tournament for sports enthusiasts. Beach Fit includes three categories: traditional Korean wrestling, big ball beach volleyball, and a beach CrossFit experience. 

 Starting at 7:20pm each evening, Funky Tonight will feature a performance by talented artists, heightening anticipation and building excitement for the main event. At 8pm, the headline artists from each genre will perform. Following these performances from renowned artists, featuring a different genre each day, EDM Night will heat up the festival each evening.
